Steel H-pile installation began the week of October 26 and continues through the winter. Pile driving is the loudest activity on the project to date.
Full perimeter site fencing inside the wetland buffer zones is going up now. A final DEP site walk was completed Thursday, October 29.
Clarke Street water main work ongoing through November. Pedestrian access along Clarke Street remains open until the work is complete.
Traffic & Parking
Parking at the Park Drive & Clarke Street Playground remains unavailable while the skatepark staging area is fenced. The replacement parking lot is expected to be complete in December.
Worthen Road parking in front of the construction site remains reduced; spaces have been removed.
Clarke Street remains periodically closed to through traffic at the active work zone until the water main work is complete.
Truck traffic increases site-wide in November.
Noise
Trucks will continue coming to and from the site throughout the month.

Full site preparation begins in November, expect increased construction activity.
All work remains within permitted work hours.
Bus & Pedestrian
The sidewalk along Worthen Road will have temporary interruptions alongside the site fence.
Pedestrian access along Clarke Street remains open until the water main work is complete. Temporary walkways and marked detours route pedestrians around the work zone.
Temporary walkways around the skatepark staging area remain in place until the staging fence comes down.
With the full perimeter fence going up inside the buffer zones, the site perimeter is expanding and walking routes across the site area are permanently closed.
Schedule Changes
The Conservation Commission / DEP review is in its final step, with a final DEP site walk completed on Thursday, October 29 giving full go-ahead. Full site fencing and erosion controls inside the buffer zones are proceeding.
Utilities & Services
Clarke Street water main installation is finishing up. Any additional planned service interruption to abutting properties will be noticed in advance.
